1) 10833 - A good quality 8 day oak long case clock by John Payne of Lenham, Kent. c1790. This clock stands 7ft 9" high with its original brass ball and spire finials. The movement is of good quality being in the London style with 5 supporting pillars, the early white 12" dial by Osborn has a good quality painting to the arch with gold spandrels, the dial also shows seconds and has a subsidiary calendar dial. The substantial oak case has a pagoda hood top and brass capped columns, long trunk door and original feet.
John Payne was born in 1731 and is recorded as being a watch and clock maker, mentioned in Kent Clockmakers by Michael Pearson that all surviving clocks are of good quality. Also listed in Baillies and Brittens Clock and Watchmakers of the World. He died in 1795. There are two other Paynes recorded working in Sevenoaks and Lenham at the end of the 18th century. Both making quality London clocks of similar style and are most likely all related.

 10863 2) 10863 - A small George III mahogany long case clock by James Lorimer, London circa 1790.
The breakarch hood with gadrooned top, shallow arched flame mahogany door whiite 12" dial with Roman numerals and seconds ring with 8 day rack bell striking movement.

 10945 3) 10945 - A good original oak, 8 day bell striking long case clock by James Banks of Oldham circa 1790 (recorded in Brittens and Baillies Old Clocks). The square dial has a large 12 o'clock moon popular in the North West - Lancashire and Cheshire.

 10942 4) 10942 - A Scottish, 8 day bell striking, long case regulator by Thomas Picken of Edinburgh circa 1840 in a well figured mahogany case with reeded inset pillars and fine beaded moulding to the base.
The 12" circular dial with original hands has subsidiary seconds and calendar dials surmounted by a heavy cast brass bezel.

 10947 5) 10947 - An elegant 8 day mahogany long case clock by John Watt, Irvine, Ayreshire, Scotland circa 1819. With a fine grained long door. The hood with original fretwork to the pediment and sides.
8 day bell striking movement with brass dial showing seconds and date apperture. Case and movement completely original.
John Watt was working from 1819-1859.

 10946 6) 10946 - An oak and mahogany 8 day bell striking long case clock by Prestidge of Eydon, Northamptonshire, circa 1830. In original condition with mahogany veneers and satinwood inlay. The 12" dial with phases of the moon to the arch.
